I have been teaching middle and high school English for fourteen years in small, independent Maryland schools. While I find teaching the foundations of language and literature to be really fun, my favorite aspect of teaching is building relationships with students. Everyone has talents and gifts that can offer unique perspectives. Since discussing literature often requires one to call on life experiences, we all have an opportunity to grow and learn from one another. I learn as much from my students as they do from me! I’m excited to be a part of such a vibrant and welcoming community at SJA.My family and I have lived in Bel Air for twelve years. We have a house full of cats! When my husband and I aren’t traveling, I like to thrift shop, watch documentaries, research genealogy, and play games.
