Math Teacher

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a math program aligned with the current grade-level curriculum while addressing the individual needs, talents, learning styles, and pace of each student.
- Plan and prepare an organized and engaging learning environment, including classroom materials, supplies, and resources.
- Develop thorough lesson plans and ensure appropriate plans are available for substitutes during planned or unplanned absences.
- Establish and maintain strong partnerships with parents through conferences, conversations, and consistent communication regarding classroom activities and student progress.
- Maintain a safe, respectful, and supportive classroom environment.
- Treat students, parents, faculty, staff, and administration with dignity and respect while following the Academy’s approach to positive discipline.
- Keep the Middle School Head informed of student progress, concerns, and situations requiring additional consultation or support.
- Maintain accurate attendance, grade, and student records in accordance with established procedures.
- Complete parent-teacher conference reports and review significant concerns with the Middle School Head.
- Respond to student-related communication within 24 hours.
- Attend regularly scheduled and special faculty meetings and liturgies.
- Participate in supervisory responsibilities, including arrival and dismissal, recess, lunch, field trips, and overnight trips, as assigned.
- Maintain an orderly, welcoming, and well-kept classroom environment.
Professional Growth
Faculty members are expected to participate in professional development opportunities, including recommended training programs, conferences, seminars, and courses. The Middle School Math Teacher will also participate in the Academy’s performance evaluation process and ongoing professional growth initiatives.
Qualifications
- Three or more years of teaching experience
- Master’s degree in early childhood education
Compensation
$45,000–$74,000, depending on education and years of teaching experience.
