FutureMakers offers next-level opportunities to design, prototype and build alongside visiting experts with real tools and advanced materials. Complementary morning and afternoon sessions allow the choice of half- or full-days of making. Participants enrolled in both AM and PM classes can stay on campus for a supervised lunch period. Enrollment includes all materials. No kits, all projects go home!

Master fundamental hand woodworking through a personal container, a toolbox, and an original hand built design.
Design and Build: Furniture – June 19 – 23, 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM
Design and build a well-crafted table from plans you create. Safely and accurately measure, cut, join and finish softwoods using a variety of expert level hand tools.

Dream, design and construct electrified kinetic sculptures, glowing creatures and original advanced creations, using electronic and engineered media.

Why play video games, when you can build an old school arcade yourself? Young makers design, prototype, build and play unique analog games of skill and chance from cardboard, foam, plastics and wood.
Industrial Arts: Model Making and Casting Lab

Explore the origins of 3D design and manufacturing through physical modeling, prototyping and flexible mold making. Pour plaster, vacuum form plastic and foam, experiment with candy mold making, and cast concrete!
Industrial Arts: Construction Lab
August 7 – 11, 1 PM – 4 PM
Use real tools to construct original projects of your own design. Safely cut, drill, form and shape wood, build big and small to complete a series of tool and material design challenges focusing on experimentation, exploration, and free building.
