St. James Academy offers a quality summer program for children ages 4 to 16. These coed activities provide exceptional camp experiences to nurture children’s growth academically, socially, athletically, spiritually, and emotionally in a secure and positive environment. The program offers several enrichment opportunities for students that inspire them to explore, play, perform, design, build, and learn.

The facility contains more than 104,000 square feet of new and renovated space, including a design thinking lab, science labs, theater, full-size gymnasium, athletic fields, and tennis courts.

Mast Tennis Academy

Tennis for beginners to advanced. Campers are grouped by ability and age.

What do Lego towers, wizard wands, butterfly nets, Pop Rocks, pilot wings, princess capes and wiggly eyes have in common? They’re all things you’ll find in the busy hands of excited campers during Little Scholars Summer Camp! Our programs are perfect for preschool and elementary age children who have big imaginations and love to play.

FutureMakers

Ages: 8-15

FutureMakers offers next-level opportunities to design, prototype and build alongside visiting experts with real tools and advanced materials. Complementary morning and afternoon sessions allow the choice of half- or full-days of making. Participants enrolled in both AM and PM classes can stay on campus for a supervised lunch period. Enrollment includes all materials. No kits, all projects go home!

Why play video games, when you can build an old school arcade yourself? Young makers design, prototype, build and play unique analog games of skill and chance from cardboard, foam, plastics and wood.

Industrial Arts: Model Making and Casting Lab

Explore the origins of 3D design and manufacturing through physical modeling, prototyping and flexible mold making. Pour plaster, vacuum form plastic and foam, experiment with candy mold making, and cast concrete!

Industrial Arts: Construction Lab

Use real tools to construct original projects of your own design. Safely cut, drill, form and shape wood, build big and small to complete a series of tool and material design challenges focusing on experimentation, exploration, and free building.

Girls Multi-sport camp to offer: lacrosse 9-11:30, lunch 11:30-12:00 pm and then choose either soccer or field hockey in the afternoon from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm.

Each day is designed to help develop lacrosse knowledge and promote skill development.  The atmosphere will promote learning, competition, and fun.  Skills, concepts and game-like situations will be instructed through drills, small sided games, and team competitions.  The ultimate goal is to educate players on fundamentals, to help them become the best player they can be.  Our staff creates an atmosphere where players can learn and try new things as well as have a great time and make new friendships in lacrosse.

We will work with various techniques and mediums and draw, paint and sculpt to create unique pieces of art. Students will draw from nature, spending time every day drawing outside. while also increasing their art vocabulary by looking at master artists. We will encourage an artistic exploration as the best way for children to build confidence in expressing themselves.

Description: U.K. Elite Soccer half day and full day camps return to The St James Academy in 2017. UK Elite Soccer’s educated and enthusiastic coaches will motivate all players, regardless of age and ability in a fun, positive and sport-specific environment. Every camp is action-packed including world cup style tournaments & skills challenges to bring out the best in each player.

Bat League Camp

Enter the dark city where a dangerous jokester and other evil villains wreak havoc. Thankfully there is a bat hero who comes out each night to fight against these evil-doers! The good guys will ride into action as campers build motorized models of the bat hero’s speedy vehicle and bat girl’s sleek motorcycle. But keep the bat light searching for the evil jokester’s motorized low rider vehicle cruising through the city streets as well. Send the bat hero swinging on his grappling hook technic model from one skyscraper to the next as he fights crime with his trusty super sidekick. Campers will use their imaginations, building skills and crime-fighting passion in this thrilling camp of bat heroes and villains!

Join us on an adventurous journey through space.  Build the Redstone Rocket to blast through the atmosphere into a realm that is truly out of this world.  Travel back in time to build NASA’s Gemini Capsule.  Trust your astronaut’s building skills to pilot a spacecraft that will bring you back to Earth safely.  We’ll build motorized models that represent spacecraft from your favorite popular space movie.  Come experience this stellar journey to a galaxy far away!

Baseball is the game of summer and a great way to spend a week with SJA coaches. We will focus on the fundamentals of throwing, catching, hitting, and running.  At the conclusion of each day, we will play in an instructional game to apply what we have learned and of course, have some fun.
