Boys Rec Lacrosse

Recreational lacrosse at St. James Academy.Dear St. James Lacrosse Community,
Welcome to the 2019 season! We are very excited to bring you another successful year of lacrosse. St. James Boys Rec Lacrosse is the oldest lacrosse club in the state of Maryland and has become the primary place for students to learn the fundamentals of the game, to continue developing their skill set for competition, and to have fun. Our goal is to create teams that are similar in age and ability, so the level of play is both challenging and enjoyable.

Our program supports the mission of the Positive Coaching Alliance (PCA), a non-profit organization founded at Stanford University. With the mission to transform youth sports so sports can transform youth, PCA was created to alter the culture of youth sports to give all young athletes the opportunity for a positive, character-building experience.

Tyker lacrosse is for boys who are ready for a more competitive level of lacrosse; coachable, ready to have fun with friends and new teammates.  Practices will emphasize sportsmanship, advanced technique and safe contact.

  • Games begin in April and run through May with the Lax Splash tournament ending the season.
  • Tentative practices begin Mid-February
