This page is a resource for new families as you prepare to begin at SJA. It will be updated throughout the spring and summer to include important information to help with your transition to our school.
The school day begins at 8:30 A.M. and ends at 3:00 P.M. Morning carpool begins at 8:00 A.M. Early drop off is available beginning at 7:30 A.M. for families who need it.
St. James Academy provides an enriching After Care program for our students to play, rest, or explore in a supervised setting with experienced educators. Directed by Mrs. Amy Kaltenbach, our program is offered to all students Monday through Friday from 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM and 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM on half days. To register, please click here!

New Student and New to Middle School Orientation
New students entering Second Grade through Eighth Grade and the Class of 2025 are invited to campus for an orientation. This will be an opportunity to meet classmates and teachers, get familiar with campus and SJA, and participate in team building games.
Tuesday, August 23 | 8:45 AM – 3 PM
New Parent Orientation
All new parents are invited to attend an orientation session. This will provide an opportunity to hear from Head of School Charlotte Riggs, Lower School Head Ian Clark, and Middle School Head Lisa Davis as they share information about the start of school and what to expect during the year. This event is being held virtually. Please submit questions to be answered during the Q & A session to email@example.com.

Take a Peek at Your Seat!
Come preview your classroom on September 1st. PreK-5th grade students are invited to drop by from 2:00-3:30 PM. The members of the Class of 2025 and any students new to Middle School are invited to gather as a class and meet their advisors from 2:00-2:45 PM.
PreK-5th Grade: 2 PM – 3:30 PM
Middle School (Class of 2025 and New Students): 2 PM – 2:45 PM
