Get ready to SOAR with us this summer! Whether you want to dive into a cool science experiment, take on a robotics challenge, explore your favorite story, or perfect your soccer shot, we have a summer experience just for you! So, let your curiosity take flight, and soar with us into summer!

With the option to stack camps and flexible installment payment plans, designing your perfect summer has never been easier.

WEEK 1: June 16 - 20 (No Camp June 19), Fairy Camp

Campers ages 8 and up will spend a magical week creating woodland/fairy crafts, playing fairy games, and more. Everyone has creativity in them, one only needs to open one’s mind to the possibilities that artistic expression has to offer. Bring your creativity and be inspired by the instructors’ years of experience designing fairy gardens with live and artificial plants. Don’t let the word “fairy” turn you away from this camp – it’s super fun for older kids as well! Just ask the campers who return year after year – even when they are in high school!

Learn about the magic of Pixar through hands-on STEM and storytelling experiences! Campers will learn how storytelling and art are used to bring their favorite animated movies to life.

Spend a week exploring acro gymnastics dance! This class will work on a variety of acrobatic/gymnastic movements that can be incorporated into dance. Various dance styles that can incorporate these skills include contemporary, modern, jazz, and hip hop. Skills will consist of but not limited to balances, flips, inversions, stretching, and partnering work. Students will work at their comfort level. Ms. Krauss is certified to teach through Acrobatic Arts. Students should wear comfortable clothing they can move in easily and hair should be pulled back.

Travel around the world in… 4 days! Rising 1st – 3rd graders are hop aboard the Learning Express for a week of global exploration. Campers will “visit” a new country every day through language, cultural, food, and art activities.

SJA is proud to partner with DROBOTS for this exciting program! If you like playing Mario Kart on your console then it’s time to get your hands off the controller and onto real robots. This is the camp program that brings Mario to life! Throughout the week campers enjoy endless building and racing challenges (without a video screen!). Robots on the ground are cool, but are you ready to take your ground bot skills into the water? How about determining the best way to design and create twists and turns to build the fastest coaster? This program provides all the summer fun a camper may handle as participants rotate through a variety of thrilling activities. Campers dive right in to a program that requires teamwork, flexibility and creativity, not to mention a hands-on building of structures that include: bridges, beams, arches, trusses, and suspension bridges. StemQuest: Water, Land and Coaster presents an abundance of both indoor and outdoor activities that include a unique combination of engineering, building, and robo-racing. Campers will use their engineering skills in combination with trial and error to construct the fastest marble roller coaster, design the most agile waterbot, and develop the most durable land rovers.

Score Big This Summer at i9 Sports Camps at St. James Academy! Get ready for a summer of excitement, growth, and unforgettable memories at i9 Sports Summer Camps hosted at St. James Academy! Designed specifically for kids in grades K-6, our camps are the perfect blend of fun, learning, and athletic adventure. From soccer and flag football to baseball, basketball, and volleyball, I9 Sports Mix camps introduce kids to a wide range of sports in a positive and supportive environment tailored for younger athletes. All skill levels are welcome! Whether your child is trying a sport for the first time or sharpening their skills, i9 camps provide the perfect mix of fun and development for every level.

This camp will celebrate the current era of popular female songwriters, such as Taylor, Billie, Gracie, and Sabrina. We will learn about the artists and the songwriting process. Campers will create lyrics, design vinyls, and work together to turn feelings and thoughts into songs. Camp will also include crafts, friendship bracelets, song trivia, and of course singing and dancing to our favorite songs. We will present an “open mic” style coffeehouse performance at the end of the week.

One of our most popular camps is BACK! Ahoy, story lovers! Grab your spyglass and get ready for an epic story adventure. Each day, students will dive into a story featuring a beloved story or movie — and then use their imagination to solve a character’s problem through hands-on STEAM activities.

SJA is proud to partner with Wildlife Adventures for this exciting program! Calling all aspiring superheroes! Join us at Critter Crusaders Camp, where you’ll discover your inner superpowers while learning to coexist gently with the incredible wildlife around us. As Critter Crusaders, you’ll embark on daily adventures alongside amazing animal companions, uncovering the secrets of living harmoniously with nature. Don your capes, unleash your heroics, and let’s make the world a better place for both human and super-animal citizens together.

This camp introduces the enjoyment of flying drones to the real world application of learning how to use drones in emergency response situations. This is an action-packed and creative program where teams of campers (flight squads) face off, taking on both the “rescuer” and the “victim” mentality. Throughout the week, campers will participate in fun, yet realistic role-playing missions while they attempt to outsmart and out-maneuver the opposing team. Flight squads also will work together to conduct mock search and rescue challenges – all in a safe and friendly competitive environment. Campers will certainly earn their wings, take pride, and gain confidence with each assignment. The key will be how well each team works together and within their flight squads to conquer the adventures at hand. Also included in this program are the innovative Drobots Drone Games, including challenges and concepts such as: Keys To Millions; Spy Drone, Drones To The Rescue, Drone Pod-Racing, and more. SJA is proud to partner with DROBOTS for this program.

Swifties, are you ready for it?? Join us this summer as we go on a little adventure together, spanning 18 years of music. We will sing and dance to songs that we know all too well, dress up for and learn about each era, and make and trade friendship bracelets. We will discuss how song lyrics are like poetry, and campers will have a chance to write lyrics of their own. We will also design a vinyl cover and decorate guitars. Campers will also be fearless and learn a few dances to show off to parents at the end of camp. So, if you have a blank space in your July calendar, make sure it’s not a cruel summer, and sign up your Swiftie!

The Medieval Robot Battles camp incorporates the ingenuities of modern technologies, but inserts campers in a historic Renaissance setting. Throughout the week, campers will compete in some of the most exciting tournaments of the Medieval time period. This program uses a variety of app-enabled robots that can be free-driven, programmed, and fabricated through team-oriented puzzles and challenges. While the program aims to build proficiency with gaming technology, the curriculum presents exercises that stress all the verticals of STEAM. Campers will create their unique renaissance masks, equip their robots with shields and battle artillery, and design their festival fairgrounds. Join the instructors for a time-traveling adventure and learn together how modern technology may enhance the competitions of the Medieval Age! SJA is proud to partner with DROBOTS for this program.

Welcome back, Wizards! This year, we are going back to the beginning and focusing on the 1st book, “Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.” This is a great time for new wizards to join us, but returning wizards will also enjoy traditional camp classes such as Potions, Dueling, Care of Magical Creatures, Divination, Quill Writing, and of course, Quidditch! Campers will be sorted into houses and will work during the week to win the coveted House Cup!

*Campers will need to bring their own plastic cauldron for Potions class. They may bring a stuffed owl or purchase one in Diagon Alley for $5.00 on the first day of camp.

*If returning wizards are incoming 6th-8th graders, and interested in applying to be a house prefect, please contact Mrs. Heil.

Inspire your child’s creativity and watch their confidence soar with the all-new Camp Invention® program, Discover! Campers in grades 2-5 will team up with friends for hands-on, open-ended STEM fun. They’ll create their own claw machine, uncover the science behind optical illusions, rev up for the ultimate road trip and embark on an eco-expedition to investigate penguins in Antarctica! Each activity is designed to spark curiosity, build persistence and create an unforgettable experience.

3,2,1… LIFT OFF! Join our supportive, positive and professional instructors for an exciting week of drone camp where campers will launch off to a “Mission to Mars”. In this exciting program, teams of campers (Flight Squads) will prepare drones to execute a delivery mission: bring vital life essentials to the Red Planet. While simulating missions with the Odyssey and navigating low orbit satellites, campers will hone their flying skills and programming accuracy as they travel through space towards the Red Planet. Additionally, through the use of flying drones and robotic ground vehicles, flight squads will compete by simulating realistic space scenarios, ranging from the navigation of asteroid belts and planet exploration to partaking in Martian races and mineral collection missions. Strap on your drone space belts! It’s going to be an exciting voyage! SJA is proud to partner with DROBOTS for this program.

Make and explore in SJA’s Creativity Lab this summer! The creativity lab is where science, engineering, art, writing, and math all converge … making this week-long creative experience the perfect summer academic check-in. Through a variety of student-directed creativity projects, campers will learn to solve problems by applying design thinking processes and expanding their capabilities (but shh… don’t tell them they’re learning!).

Acro dancers with some experience are invited to take their skills to the next level — by incorporating Lyra! Campers will learn how different aerial moves and tricks link together to create a dance routine.

Get ready for a summer of pint-sized exploration! Rising YF3 (must be 3 by 9/1/25 and enrolled in the YF Program for 2025-26) and PreK4 students (must be 4 by 9/1/25 and enrolled in PK at SJA for 2025-26) are invited to join the Young Foxhound Team for morning summer camp fun. Each week features a different theme and incorporates sensory experiences, art projects, outside activities, and a snack:

Fees for camps that only meet for four days will be prorated. Campers are invited to stay for extended day for an extra fee, which includes lunch time, nap, and quiet activities. Extended Day Campers bring their own lunch.
