St. James Academy Parent

You may think this blog is being written by an 8th grade graduate, but at St. James Academy, we as parents graduate, too.  We also leave our heart at SJA!

If I had to define SJA in one word, it would be just that – heart. It is the center of a positive, tight-knit community that props people back up and prods those people who are ready. Our 8th graders are prepared to face the new world of high school…but most parents aren’t so ready. Read More

It’s Recording Weekend!

We are fortunate to have a strong music program at St. James Academy. The students are involved in all aspects of music. I have wanted to produce a choral CD for the past few years. It’s such a time capsule for those who participate; it’s a good way to hear where we have been and where we are going. Songs the students sung back in September have become more polished and meaningful in May. Now we’ll be able to professionally document that journey.

This year is a perfect time to record a CD because the students have matured vocally. The CD repertoire will include songs that the students learned in the fall, winter, and spring. I am excited to showcase the many talents of our students!

We will have pre-order forms available in the office starting Monday, May 12.

To end the show, Eighth Grade student, Ethan Alexander, surprised the audience with a light show.
