| 7th Grade KIVA Project notecards created and sold to support entrepreneurs in Africa and Eastern Europe |
Fostering a sense of service to others is an essential element of being a successful student at St. James Academy. Students apply what they have learned in the classroom to develop leadership and communication skills, become more caring and responsible citizens, and help to meet community needs in the process.
St. James students in all grades are engaged in activities that give them hands-on experience with faith in action.
Among the many activities that occur during the year are:
• Cultural exchange between Islamic and Hebrew Schools
• A mitten tree collection
• Food and toy collection
• KIVA Micro Loan Project (funds collected are donated to entrepreneurs in developing nations)
• And many more exciting opportunities throughout the year.
