HEAD'S SCHOLAR AWARD    

Your child may qualify for the resources to attend St. James Academy for the 2012-2013 school year. It only takes a few minutes to do the research, and the time you take to apply could make the difference in your child’s future.

The criteria for a Head’s Scholar Award are:
• Academic excellence
• Leadership potential
• Strong school citizenship

One boy and one girl (current and/or new student applicant) who will be entering Middle School (Grade 6) will be selected.

ELIZABETH I. LEGENHAUSEN SCHOLARSHIP    

The Elizabeth I Legenhausen Scholarship is an half-tuition award given for one year and awarded competitively to one new student annually. Established in 2011 by a generous, anonymous donor, the scholarship is designed to encourage and reward:

·         academic excellence,

·         scholastic achievement, and

·         strength of character.

Eligibility:
Each candidate must be a new student to SJA in any grade level who is distinguished in scholastic ability, achievement, and school citizenship.

Application:
Applications may be submitted with one letter of recommendation (from within the student’s current school community) by January 6, 2012.

Interview:
A personal interview with the Head of School will be arranged for selected candidates.

Notification: The EIL Scholar will be notified in writing by mid-February. A response deadline date will be included in that letter.
