Welcome to a Celebration of the St. James Community! 

Members of the Church and Academy enjoy daily reminders of our idyllic, country setting as they traverse the gently sloping countryside of our grounds located on My Lady’s Manor, Monkton in northern Baltimore County. Our days begin with individual, personal carpool greetings and end in warm cordial conversations. In between joyful noises of productive artistic, athletic, technological and academic accomplishments resonate for all. 

Our shared life journey educating children from five to fourteen occurs within a context of care and kindness … responsive, intensive, and personal. In this nurturing, supportive environment children are deliberately protected from the intensity of popular culture. Teachers, staff, and parents engage in meaningful dialogue to create meaningful experiences guided by developmentally appropriate practice.
