Geography and World Cultures

Grade Seven

Mrs. Elizabeth Yancey

Welcome to 7th grade Social Studies! This year we are going to be learning about the world around us, the people of the world, and interactions of the two. We will study the five themes of geography: location, place, the environment, movement, and regions and apply these concepts on our investigative trip around the world. We will be examining various global questions in specific areas in every region of the world. We will be looking for patterns that arise from out investigative studies on people, the environment and their interactions. Emphasis will also be placed on the continued development of interpersonal skills throughout the year.
